I recently when to the the Old german Schnitzel haus. It was very good and is know for it’s schnitzel an steak. I tried the sauerbraten which was amazing. It was threepeices of thin medium rare steaks with a hearty sweet and sour sauce. the salad ad salmon were both exceptional too. Located in Hickory, NC it was voted one of the best german restaurants in america in 2010. It wa very good and would highly recommend it.
As know saturday is shop local saturday. I ate a place called The Mecca. It is a small breakfast joint located on 13 E Martin St, Raleigh, NC 27601. The place has been around for eighty-three years. The Lost Stories Is the tenth book in the Rangers Apprentice series written by John Flanagan. The Lost Stories has all the untold stories from the series. There are about five stories. I find the book very interesting because it tells you more about the characters, so when you look back on the previous books you have a different perspective on them. The stories also set you up for the next book and series. I also like that the author writes it from all the characters’ perspective. I would recommend this book for 9-12 year olds.
I have recently tried out the new Yellow Dog Bread Co. The food was very good but the service really needs some work. The person we ordered from got are order wrong so we had to pay extra for what we didn’t want. The food came out really fast though. They also had a good selection because they had vegetarian choices and they had sweet treats . They also need more seating; they only have four tables. As you might already know, October 24 it is World Polio Day. Polio is a disease that can paralyze your body from the waist down. Even if you think you have no chance of getting it, that is not always correct. Somalia recently got back polio which effected 200 children almost immediately. If you’ve had American paella, it’s nothing like the real deal from a small restaurant in downtown Barcelona. My family and I recently went to Spain for a week. The thing I was most excited about was definitely the food. In DC I had a paella that was only okay when you compared it with Spain’s authentic paella.
